She knew it was on the record. She’s just trying to play both sides of the fence when this whole thing goes south.

    2. It is surprising how many people in his admin don’t know or forget they have to say explicitly that something is off the record or not when talking to the press or officials. It is pretty common knowledge in those circles.

    3. Thing is, she knew it going in. Now she’s pulling a Trump.

Hard to not read it as her giving the finger to the other cliques in the Executive.

How did I not know who this lady was before today? Guess she really does stay in the background.

    5. She probably tried that new trick where they have an entire conversation and at the last possible second say, “Of course, none of this is on the record”. As if that tactic works retroactively.

Oh she gone. That was pre determined tho. She’s a Regan era Republican who was involved in Florida politics.

She knew. She just has to act like Trump expects his people to act. Deny the obvious truth. Pretend the evidence really doesn’t say what it says.

Lying even when useless, it’s a loyalty test to Trump. It’s a currency.
